MEA | Business Awards 2025 Offering highly personalised legal attention with commitment and discretion, Simon Dippenaar & Associates Inc is a Cape Town-based law firm specialising in the areas of family law and divorce, bail, evictions, and liquor licences. We speak to Founder and Director, Simon Dippenaar, in the wake of the practice achieving notable success in the MEA Business Awards 2025. Simon Dippenaar & Associates Inc (SD Law) is a general practice of attorneys offering a comprehensive range of legal services. The firm has a thriving practice in the field of divorce and family law, with particular expertise in international divorce and crossborder child custody. SD Law also provides services in eviction and rental housing, liquor licensing, commercial law, and criminal defence for first-time offenders, plus it assists with wills and estate planning, labour law, conveyancing, and immigration. With a head office in Cape Town, and branches in Johannesburg and Durban, the practice employs 15 staff and associates, including candidate attorneys and interns, and is growing steadily. SD Law’s strategy involves reimagining the way legal services are delivered to create meaningful impact for clients – an approach which is rooted in three principles: client centricity, emotional intelligence, and proactive problem solving. “At SD Law we have rejected traditional adversarial approaches and redefined legal strategy,” explains Founder Simon Dippenaar. “We prioritise early-stage mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and strategic negotiation to secure favourable outcomes and reduce stress and cost to clients.” It is this ability to de-escalate high-conflict cases, particularly in international divorce and child custody matters, that firmly sets the practice apart in modern family law practice, Staying at the cutting edge of industry developments is of paramount importance in such a sector, and SD Law ensures it does this by providing its staff with the latest advances in the legal profession, ensuring they have the resources to serve their clients with state-of-the-art technologies, including AI-driven legal software. SD Law also invests time and energy into keeping abreast of legal developments in South Africa and globally. Associates and candidate attorneys brief each other daily on emerging case law and legislative changes. Time is allocated regularly to review latest court news, press coverage and international trends (such as AI). At SD Law, client centricity, dignity and compassion are at the heart of its philosophy, along with a non-adversarial approach to case resolution. Clients of the practice know they will secure swift, effective solutions to their legal problems, underpinned by high emotional intelligence and a win-win attitude. However, Simon tells us that SD Law will not shy away from conflict if circumstances require more aggressive tactics. “At SD Law, innovation is a mindset,” he continues. “By combining legal excellence with emotional intelligence, strategic scaling, and a forward-thinking approach to dispute resolution, we have positioned ourselves as a law firm that redefines what it means to serve clients effectively. Our model is proof that we can transform the client experience in a way that is deeply human, highly effective, and sustainably successful.” Since last year’s national elections and the emergence of a coalition government for the region, there have been political wranglings, yet South Africa has remained stable. The rising cost of living and high unemployment, particularly among young people, continue to present challenges for many South Africans. Simon goes deeply into some of the issues faced by the MEA and how SD Law attempts to meet these challenges head on, to ensure effective solutions. “The precipitous removal of USAID funding hit the public HIV programme particularly hard, with an inevitable knock-on effect on jobs and services,” he elaborates. “But we have been spared the rolling power outages that were a regular feature of the previous two years.” South Africa’s legal framework and rights-based Constitution continue to protect citizens, and the country has recently enacted progressive legislation to protect marriages sanctified in other traditions, such as Shariah, and has given fathers equal rights to parental leave on the birth or adoption of a baby. SD Law’s legislators continually review laws to keep pace with changing societal norms and expectations. “However, rape and gender-based violence remain endemic,” Simon states, telling us of the challenges that the country faces. “Many South Africans still live in poverty and food security is not guaranteed. Corruption still plagues our society. SD Law plays a critical role in defending the rule of law and upholding the rights of ordinary citizens. We are proud to provide this service to our compatriots.” Over the past 12 months, South Africa’s legal market has been reshaped by three emerging trends: rapid digitalisation of the courts, increased use of AI, and stronger enforcement of data protection rules. At SD Law, when the Labour Court and High Courts expanded mandatory e-filing, the practice re-engineered its litigation workflows, retrained staff, and built internal checklists to function efficiently on the portal. AI has also become regularised in daily tasks. With a policy of “human-led, AI-assisted,” this Family & Divorce Law Firm of the Year 2025 - South Africa
9 Family & Divorce Law Firm of the Year 2025 - South Africa innovative technology has boosted turnaround time while protecting confidentiality and professional standards for the firm. Regulatory and legislative developments materially affected SD Law’s case load. In family law, Muslim marriages are now recognised under the Divorce Act. In response, the practice updated its procedures accordingly and has handled a number of matters under the new regime. Likewise, property and evictions work has been influenced by the Expropriation Act, 2024 and the firm prepared investor briefings and municipal liaison protocols to address “nil compensation” scenarios. Proposed amendments to the PIE Act have kept unlawful occupation in the news and SD Law’s eviction practice keeps landlords and municipal clients updated on potential procedural impacts. Simon also anticipates the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act and the AARTO national rollout, therefore he has published briefings and added traffic-offence advisory to the existing compliance suite. “Looking ahead 12–24 months, we’re investing in secure AI workflows, expanding fixed-fee compliance products for POPIA and AARTO needs, and deepening our specialist teams in family and property law to reflect new statutes and bills as they take effect,” he states. “The goal is faster, clearer outcomes for clients, anchored in rigorous law and real-world execution.” At SD Law, the team is trained team to be client-focused, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent. Simon believes in making logical and emotional connections with all clients, showing genuine care, and serving those in need. In the recruitment process, he places as much importance on soft skills as he does on academic qualifications and legal proficiency. “Because of our philosophy of helping each other learn and grow, we don’t operate a “dog eat dog” environment, and we don’t hire candidates who are looking for that type of firm,” he adds. “We are passionate about upskilling people with initiative and the motivation to forge ahead in the field of law. We aim to optimise their work experience and maximise their potential for future success.” For its diligence and responsive approach, SD Law recently gained notable recognition in the MEA Business Awards 2025 and stood out above other entrants to attain the title of Family & Divorce Law Firm of the Year 2025 - South Africa. This award is something which Simon is extremely proud of and the rest of 2025 is about finishing strong and building replicable systems for 2026. For the organisation, this involves completing its firm-wide “Client Care Charter” roll-out, which comprises same-day responses on new matters, clear engagement letters, transparent fixed-fee menus where appropriate, and a secure digital onboarding flow. Operationally, SD Law has embedded court e-filing and AI-assisted drafting with strict privacy protection, so clients enjoy swifter service with confidentiality intact. Simon is also keen on strengthening the existing family law expertise (including complex matrimonial property, parenting plans and cross-border cases), as well as bolstering the property/evictions team with holistic strategies for landlords, bodies corporate and municipalities. He will continue to produce short, “explainer” videos on the SD Law channels and partner on targeted pro bono cases, especially in matters concerning tenant rights and domestic violence. Finally, there will be packaging of practical toolkits: privacy, workplace and fleet policies for traffic law changes, and cannabis policy guidance for employers and parents. Internal investment will see further training and a mentorship track for candidate attorneys. “Looking to 2026 and beyond, we plan to deepen our areas of specialisation and broaden our reach,” Simon finalises. “We’ll strengthen Johannesburg and Durban footprints, formalise fixed-fee compliance subscriptions for SMEs and NPOs, and grow a cross-border family law desk for Africa–EU/UK matters. We will continue to deliver outcomes that are fast and fair and delivered by a team known for its rigour, discretion and care.” Contact: Simon Dippenaar Company: Simon Dippenaar & Associates Inc (SD Law) Web Address: www.sdlaw.co.za
MEA | Business Awards 2025 10 Most Innovative Industrial Machine Tooling Solutions Company 2025 - South Africa & Sustainability Innovation Excellence Award 2025 Established in 1985, Renlaw Sharpening & Engineering (Pty) Ltd is Southern Africa’s most innovative industrial blade and cutting tool manufacturer. Dedicated to the pursuit of ingenuity and sustainable technological development, the company honours the traditional values of high-quality products and exceptional client service. They are known for their on-site consultations which allow them to design specific, niche cutting solutions to solve customer’s challenges. We learn more about the industry in South Africa as the company gains recognition in the MEA Business Awards 2025. n machinery-dependent industries, the fear of voiding warranties often ties businesses to the exclusive use of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. However, when it comes to industrial consumables like cutting tools, blades, punches, and dies, these restrictions are often unnecessary and counterproductive. South Africa’s Competition Commission guidelines for the automotive sector highlight a model of fairness that could greatly benefit industries reliant on machinery. Industries like packaging, food manufacturing, and print depend on specialized industrial blades and cutting tools for efficiency and precision. OEMs frequently provide consumable sharps designed for broad-spectrum applications, which may not meet the nuanced needs of every operation. While these general-purpose parts may suffice for basic tasks, they often fall short in industries where precision and efficiency are paramount. Local engineering and machine tool manufacturers offer a significant advantage by creating custom-made solutions tailored to specific applications. Custom blades and tools, designed with the user’s unique cutting-edge requirements in mind, enhance performance, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. Businesses need the freedom to choose these tailored options without fear of voiding warranties. OEM restrictions not only inflate costs but also stifle innovation by discouraging businesses from adopting advanced, locally produced tools. South Africa’s local sharpening engineering sector has the capability to design and produce cutting-edge industrial tools that address local industry challenges more effectively than generic OEM solutions. For example, a packaging plant might require precision blades to optimize throughput and minimize material loss. A local tool manufacturer can design blades specifically for this need, outperforming OEM parts. Similarly, in the poultry industry, custom high-precision blades can significantly reduce waste and improve sustainability—a growing priority for businesses. By removing the restrictive practices imposed by OEMs, South Africa can bolster its domestic manufacturing sector. Tailored solutions from local engineering manufacturers provide cost-effective alternatives and contribute to job creation and economic growth. Encouraging the adoption of locally engineered tools also reduces reliance on imports, fostering a more self-reliant and resilient industrial base. The Competition Commission’s guidelines in the automotive industry emphasize inclusivity, providing opportunities for historically disadvantaged individuals. Applying similar principles to the machinery sector would lower barriers to entry for local engineering manufacturers and service providers. This would foster a competitive environment where innovation thrives, benefiting businesses across the spectrum. Allowing businesses to source tailored solutions from local providers would also enhance industry agility. Companies could optimize their processes using tools designed for their specific requirements, rather than compromising with broad-spectrum OEM parts. While the Commission’s guidelines are non-binding, they highlight the need for vigilance and advocacy to extend these principles to other sectors. Industries that rely on industrial cutting tools and machinery should actively pursue policies that challenge monopolistic practices, promote consumer choice, and support local manufacturing. The Competition Commission’s guidelines represent a pathway to fairness, efficiency, and innovation that other sectors should adopt. By allowing businesses to source tailored blades and tools from local manufacturers, South Africa can unlock the full potential of its industrial machinery sector. This approach reduces costs, drives sustainability, and supports a more inclusive economy. For industries like food processing, printing, and converting, the ability to use custom-engineered tools tailored to specific needs is not just a convenience - it’s a competitive advantage that paves the way for a brighter industrial future and improved financial and ecological sustainability. Many of these establishments have achieved Green Key certification, a globally recognised eco-label that rewards environmentally responsible and sustainable practices in the hospitality industry. “Power Knot’s LFC biodigesters have been instrumental in helping global establishments reduce food waste management costs, streamline operations, and meet the rigorous standards required for Green Key certification,” Shakeel tells us. “By converting food waste into grey water on-site, our systems enable hotels to minimise waste transportation, lower carbon emissions, and enhance their overall environmental performance, all while achieving measurable cost savings.” While the region continues to evolve rapidly in terms of sustainability awareness, education and infrastructure remains ongoing challenges. However, this also presents a powerful opportunity for Power Knot to lead by example and deliver proven, practical, and scalable waste solutions that align with national and corporate sustainability goals across the region. It is also of paramount importance that the company culture within Power Knot upholds its strong focus on sustainability and an open and collaborative environment is fostered within the organisation, where every team member is encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership, and grow alongside the company. This shared purpose and transparency within the team helps the firm attract and retain passionate professionals who are motivated by sustainability and technological innovation. MEA | Business Awards 2025 12 Jul23190 PowerMan Voted Best Again Best UPS & Backup Power Solutions Provider 2025 - South Africa Every good system needs a reliable power supply to ensure the best possible performance, especially in Africa where power supplies are traditionally erratic at best. When it comes to sensitive electronic equipment, even a millisecond’s interruption in power can have catastrophic consequences. Established in 1984, PowerMan UPS has been helping its clients protect everything from PCs to critical emergency room equipment for over 40 years. We take a look at the family-run business in more detail with National Sales Manager, Brandon Palmer. Staying connected in modern times means ensuring your power supply is resilient to any challenge. Maintaining constant power in the digital age isn’t just essential for business; it’s also critical for health and safety. Supplying, installing and maintaining high-performance UPS systems, powerful solar solutions, and more, PowerMan’s client base extends throughout South Africa. As the first company to offer low-cost, locally manufactured on-line UPSs in the country, PowerMan’s expertise is second to none. Founded by John Palmer, the PowerMan UPS was launched at the end of 1984, since then the company has gained a reputation for product innovation and forward-thinking customer service. Brandon tells us: “We’re proud of our history and of being a South African brand. In 1987, we were the first company to develop a hybrid UPS encompassing the features of a constant voltage transformer and a UPS - our On-Line Ferro range. In 1998, we launched mass-produced, single-phase, long run time UPS’s, and in 2003, we introduced our first locally designed and manufactured PowerMan 3-Phase UPS range.” Our innovations have continued and in conjunction with two of our partners overseas we developed an On-Line UPS range with options for a 10KWh or 20KWh lithium-Iron (LiFePo4) battery pack for long run times and fast recharge during South Africa’s worst load shedding period from 2021 to 2023. The unit was launched at the end of 2022 and has been a game changer for clients requiring a genuine on-line UPS with a Lithium-Iron battery pack, before this unit was launched most suppliers could only offer an inverter with an LiFePo4 battery pack, and the inverter generally has a break time during transfer from mains to inverter and can not correct poor input power as it does not regenerate the power while mains is present and there is no power from the PV Panels. Over the past year PowerMan has increased their range with lithium batteries to include 3-phase machines up to 180KVA With technicians stationed at PowerMan’s workshop in Gauteng, and support offices in KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape as well as factory trained technicians in most South African provinces, the company is well placed to respond to issues promptly. Brandon compares purchasing a quality UPS to buying a good insurance policy. He explains: “Most of the time, the UPS may not be needed, but when it is, it’s critical that it is working and provides the correct protection. We offer PowerSure maintenance contracts on all our machines. These include both planned maintenance visits and emergency callouts. Our products have been tried and tested everywhere from office spaces to deep mine shafts, delivering power when and where it’s needed most. If there’s an issue, our service team is always just a phone call away.” Since first supplying power to the top Formula One racing teams in 1992, PowerMan has remained the supplier of choice for many major events across the country. Notably, the company supplied backup solutions for critical comms equipment at World Cup stadiums in 2010. PowerMan also partners with some of South Africa’s biggest companies, including BCX, Drager, McDonald’s, Shoprite, Spar, Massmart and Eureka. Not to mention the IEC for the National and Local elections. When it comes to backup power, a one-sizefits-all approach simply doesn’t work. As the oldest UPS company in South Africa, PowerMan’s industry experience gives the company a significant advantage over competitors. By assessing each client’s requirements individually, our technical sales team ensures products are tailored to a client’s specific needs. Working with the mining industry, the company has developed products for specific requirements with 110VAC input and output, or in some cases 230VAC input and 110VAC output. Battery packs are designed to meet specific backup requirements ranging from 10 minutes to 4 hours. PowerMan also now offers a range of solar products and can equipe solar sites for commercial use up to 500KVA, or domestic sites as low as 5KVA. Measuring loads via data loggers, on average, PowerMan sites can return 100% of the investment in 3 to 5 years. Developing for the future, PowerMan is committed to innovation in the UPS market and is also branching out into other complementary services such as our PowerMan Solar division, PowerMan Energy Division for energy storage offering lithium or sealed lead acid battery solutions and PowerMan Electrical division offering installations and maintenance. The need to stay relevant is becoming increasingly costly and, combined with rapid regulatory changes, the need to maintain authenticity can lean towards commercialisation. “The challenges motivate us,” Mona enthuses. “They push us to stay true to our values and to raise standards continuously. Regulations in the UAE continue to tighten which improves safety and elevates the patient experience. We have always operated with strong medical standards, so these developments only reinforce our approach.” Significant trends within the sector include a rise in demand for natural, subtle aesthetic outcomes, increased demand for regenerative and stem cell-based treatments, growth in metabolic and hormonal wellness, plus greater interest in DNA-based skincare and personalised longevity programmes. “The future of the aesthetics industry is clear,” she continues. “Internal health and external results are merging into one integrated pathway - this is exactly where Biolite is positioned in order to continue to lead the way.” Having gained yet further notable recognition recently, being crowned Most Innovative Aesthetic & Beauty Clinic 2025 – Dubai in the MEA Awards, the future is looking even brighter for Mona and Biolite. The clinic is stepping into 2026 with a renewed focus on regenerative aesthetics, longevity medicine, and highly personalised care, which involves expanding its biomarker driven approach with Skin DNA analysis, TruAge testing, hormonal and metabolic mapping, and gut diagnostic tools to support health and long-term skin integrity. “Our aim for 2026 is to deepen the integration between internal wellness and external aesthetics, supporting cellular repair, inflammation control, and healthy ageing,” Mona states. “We will continue investing in our team because innovation only matters when delivered by knowledgeable and compassionate professionals. We will also continue to expand on our in-house cosmeceutical skin care range and we’re excited to launch our very own Korean sheet mask too! “Above all, our vision remains the same as it was in 2007 - to treat clients with honesty, to care deeply, and to continue to redefine beauty and wellbeing in the region.” Contact: Mona Mirza Company: Biolite Clinic LLC Web Address: www.biolitedubai.com Most Innovative Aesthetic & Beauty Clinic 2025 – Dubai From humble beginnings in London in 2001, Biolite Clinic LLC in Dubai puts its patients firmly at its heart – a unique ethos which has positioned the clinic as a leader in the aesthetics industry. Owner and Founder, Mona Mirza, tells us more as she rejoices in receiving recognition in the MEA Business Awards 2025. iolite Clinic LLC (Biolite) of Dubai was established in 2007 by Mona with a clear mission in mind: to treat people, not just their symptoms. What initially began as the first medical aesthetics clinic in the region, providing facial treatments and laser hair removal to local clientele, has today evolved into a fully-integrated clinic for aesthetics, functional wellness, and regenerative medicine. Yet despite its growth and size, it still retains authenticity, integrity, and evidence-based care at its core. Mona tells us more about the clinic and its ethos. “Our philosophy is that skin is a direct reflection of internal health,” she begins. “Our treatments go beyond aesthetics, integrating advanced diagnostics such as cancer marker screening, Skin DNA testing, TruAge epigenetic assessment, genetic predisposition markers, hormonal mapping, gut health analysis, and metabolic testing. This allows us to design deeply personalised protocols that support the gut, hormonal balance, metabolic health, mind, and skin connection.” With clients seeking long term, science-led solutions rather than temporary fixes, Biolite has gained global recognition, with discerning clients flying across the world to visit the clinic for its latest treatments using up-todate devices, and stellar service. Its reputation for meticulous attention to detail and level of personalisation means that it is viewed as an industry trailblazer and sets it firmly aside from competitors. “Our leadership in the industry, unwavering authenticity, and commitment to evidence-based care have shaped our legacy and continue to define why patients trust Biolite above all others,” Mona elaborates. “What truly sets us apart is that we do not treat the skin in isolation. We connect genetics, hormonal balance, gut health, metabolism, mental wellness, and aesthetic goals into one comprehensive personalised plan, with a focus on prevention, pre-empting the first signs of ageing, and being proactive rather than reactive.” B
MEA | Business Awards 2025 14 Regulatory Reporting Provider of the Year 2025 - EMEA Based in Nicosia, Cyprus, A.E. Prognosys Solutions Limited helps clients in the financial industry simplify and streamline regulatory reporting and compliance. Established in 2004, the company’s mission is to ensure its clients meet their reporting obligations easily and quickly while improving the quality and consistency of information. CEO Elias Afxentiou tells us how Prognosys Solutions has evolved in this fast-paced industry. n today’s financial landscape, standing still isn’t an option. Regulations shift, markets evolve, and technology races ahead, often all at once. For financial institutions, regulatory reporting has become a high-stakes balancing act between speed, accuracy and compliance. To stay compliant without slowing the business down, firms need smarter, more agile regulatory reporting technology designed for a world where change is the only constant. Working in an industry that bridges technology and regulatory development is not for the faint-hearted. Staying ahead of the curve in both disciplines is challenging in the extreme. But one company that stands out for its understanding and expertise in the RegTech arena is Prognosys Solutions. By helping the financial industry simplify its regulatory reporting, the company is equipping its clients with a better understanding of the landscape, thereby improving standards of financial advice and guidance. With over 20 years’ experience in regulatory technology, Prognosys Solutions’ extensive knowledge enables the company to supplement regulatory requirements with data and business validations. This results in significant improvements to reporting outputs. But it’s the company’s approach to working with each client as an individual that really stands out. Elias explains: “Working in technology, one may not expect to hear this, but our unique selling points are honesty and trust. These are the driving forces behind all our relationships. For us, there are no big or small clients. Every client is equally important. Our clients don’t typically see us as a third-party vendor but rather as an extension of their own regulatory or IT team. They know they can depend on us and that we’ll do everything in our power to ensure their needs and requirements are met. More often than not, we exceed their expectations.” Ensuring that all solutions are constantly updated to align with the latest legislation, directives and regulations is a task that requires the highest levels of proactivity and professionalism. As regulatory reporting obligations increase in volume and complexity, Elias tells us about the company’s approach to change: “It can feel like a never-ending story, but it’s what motivates us to keep learning, improving and adapting. Our dedicated team of analysts monitor industry trends and developments, and we take a similar approach to technology. We begin experimenting with new technologies affecting our sector as early as possible. By doing this, we gain essential experience. This enables us to find the most efficient way of integrating them into our existing products.” Being based in Cyprus, on the border of Europe, Asia and Africa, Prognosys Solutions has capitalised on its unique location to generate opportunities for growth and partnership. Working initially with clients in Cyprus, the company refined its solutions in a relatively small, controlled environment before taking the logical step to expand into the rest of the EU. Later, its strategic geopolitical location gave Prognosys Solutions easy access to Middle East markets. Elias says: “Having the experience from the EU gave us a head start in these countries. Our unique perspective on the Middle East enabled us to make our solutions even more flexible and adaptable. This inevitably led to additional innovation, allowing us to offer our customers more featurerich solutions.” Prognosys Solutions’ primary focus for 2025 has been on restructuring the company to expand into new markets. Partnerships are now cemented with Fusion Compliance Technologies for the Middle East and Infonet Systems Integration for central and eastern Europe. With further expansion plans beginning to materialise, Prognosys Solutions looks set for great things in 2026. Contact: Elias Afxentiou Company: A.E. MEA | Business Awards 2025 15 Serving over 5,000 learners from Grade R to Grade 12, Teneo School is South Africa’s leading online home school. Offering three fully accredited curricula, the school teaches in both English and Afrikaans. For students and parents seeking a comprehensive alternative to traditional education, Teneo offers live online classes, pre-recorded lessons or a blend of both. We take a closer look at how Teneo is leading the way whilst ensuring no learner is left behind. Since the shockwaves of the COVID-19 pandemic, the way we do business and educate ourselves has undergone a remarkable change. Some students were only too glad to get back to the classroom. Yet for others, the flexibility of online learning proved to be exactly what they needed to achieve their goals. Since 2020, the rapid advance in AI technologies has affected almost every area of life, and in education, it has truly given the online education model wings. One company that’s built an extraordinarily effective, inclusive online offering is Teneo School. With open-access admissions and no restrictive qualifying criteria, the school welcomes students with learning barriers such as ADD, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety and sensory impairments. Families also choose Teneo for its flexibility, allowing students to learn anywhere at any time. CEO of Teneo School and Founder of the Smart School System ™ Saul Geffen tells us: “Our mission is to ‘unlock your child’s extraordinary’. This drives everything we do and reflects our values: excellence for every learner, innovation with purpose, inclusivity, data-informed care, and accountability. As we’ve grown and refined our Smart School System™, our commitment to making quality education accessible, measurable and effective for every child remains unwavering.” As Teneo’s technological capabilities have grown, so has the school’s understanding of the impact it is making on students’ lives. Through smart data gathering, Teneo has proved that all its students improve their marks by an average of 25% or more after 4 years at the school. Anticipating student needs and maintaining constant communication, Teneo ensures every learner receives individualised attention. Parents have reassuring access to their child’s academic progress via its Parent App, which delivers real-time data on attendance, participation, engagement and results. The Smart School System™ identifies at-risk students proactively, enabling teachers and parents to step in early with personalised support. Saul says: “While technology powers our insights, our 200-plus educators drive the outcomes. Teachers, subject specialists, grade leaders, and phase heads work collaboratively to ensure every learner is supported, challenged, and encouraged. Termly parent teacher meetings, regular progress reports, and ongoing communications ensure we’re constantly refining our approach based on learner needs and family feedback.” With education and schooling unevenly distributed and often concentrated in affluent, urban areas, Teneo offers a welcome alternative for many. However, there are still challenges to navigate. Although internet connectivity is improving, data costs remain high, and access is still inconsistent in rural areas. Overcoming perceptions that online education is somehow inferior to the traditional model is also a barrier that Teneo continues to navigate. Another challenge is, of course, affordability. Saul tells us: “Through innovation, academic success and inclusivity can coexist at scale We’ve proven that our transformative approach can deliver superior results. And knowing that many families face financial constraints, we offer high-quality schooling with affordable payment options.” In the long term, Teneo aims to continue to prove that its Smart School System™ can deliver better results for every learner, making quality education accessible to everyone. The online school continues to invest in emerging technologies to improve the learning experience and aims to create strategic partnerships with universities and employers. Geographic expansion into other MEA countries and global markets where barriers to education remain significant, is also an ambition for 2026 and beyond.
