Established in 2015, International Center of Islamic Economy (ICIE) was established in Dubai Airport Freezone “DAFZ” to support “Dubai: Capital of Islamic Economy” initiatives, with the vision of becoming the global leading application of Islamic Economy. Today, the Center aims to stimulate innovation and creativity by enriching the knowledge in Islamic Economy. Launching initiatives in the field of Islamic Economy is the company’s core focus. It is also dedicated to producing innovative products and developing practical applications of Islamic Economy, indigenizing Islamic Economics scientific issues, as well as qualifying professional practitioners in economic organizations. These professionals are all supported by the organisation, which works collaboratively with banks, government agencies, institutions and consultancy and advisory firms to create engaging information and drive innovation throughout the Islamic Economy. The Center provide many Islamic Economy related services, few of which are, but not limited to, Shar’iah Complaints Fintech and Blockchain Projects, Islamic Product Development, Events and Initiatives in Islamic Economy, Real Islamic Economy Projects, Halal and Shar’iah Services and Transformation from Conventional Economic to Islamic Economy Services. Additionally, the organisation has an Advisory Board, which acts as its formal advisory body, which provide intellectual content to the Center. It consists of seven experts from groups that are affected by and interested in the ICIE’s work. Whilst there are many Islamic Finance, Islamic Banking, Islamic Products and Halal firms on the market today which are focused on developing their specific sectors, ICIE is focused on the entire Islamic Economy, under which these sectors come. Moreover, the organisation has many initiatives, which are in- line with the government of the countries it operates in, so that it can support them. Ultimately, ICIE’s vision is to take the lead globally in initiatives and applications of the Islamic Economy, and as such, the organisation is constantly seeking to stimulate innovation and creativity and enrich the knowledge in the Islamic Economy. Moving forward, ICIE is further expanding toward Africa and East Asia region, to support more governments and individuals in these regions.
