As Charterhouse celebrates its 16th anniversary in the UAEmarket, this award is a nice timely reminder of its contributionwithin the regional recruitment market. Following their recent recognition inMEAMarkets UAE Business Awards, we caught up with the firm’s Director, Gareth Claytonwho kindly revealed the secrets behind the company’s remarkable success over the years. Back in 2004, Charterhouse was one of the first international recruitment operators to open an office in Dubai. The mission goal was simple; review, revise and raise the standard of recruitment practices across the local markets whilst introducing international best-practice and upskilling the industry capability. Over this time, Charterhouse has always looked at ways of developing strategically and operationally as we’ve always been guided by our “experience learning curve” and unparalleled market insight. Never able to dwell on a legacy, Charterhouse has needed to evolve with changing markets, changing demands, and now more than ever, changing technology. Our ability to manage and implement this, has been key, whilst maintaining strong staff governance and reward schemes within a sales-centric industry. Quality of service has always been a core value for Charterhouse, with our level of repeat business and brand reputation being testament to that. Providing a structured and replicated service, to both clients and job seekers, is a key fundamental in allowing us to set ourselves apart and ensure that we can be seen as a trusted partner; allowing our competitive positioning across a broad range of market segments. More recently, Charterhouse has displayed a more evolved and diverse business. Whilst recruitment remains at the forefront, Charterhouse now operates a fully-fledged Labour Solutions division, which delivers interim and outsourced staffing capabilities, complemented with tailored visa and HR management services. Charterhouse also manages a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) platform and presently has an on-site presence, overseeing the delivery of recruitment and assisting the on-boarding procedure for EXPO 2020 Dubai. Currently, this is the largest project of its kind in the Middle East and this RPO now includes an advisory and consultancy offering, to enhance and support our client engagement. At the forefront of all our achievements and future plans, is the need for teamwork and a common goal, at a management level, to create the right environment for success through hard work and integrity. The service nature of our industry requires strong leadership and staff whom are both capable and passionate. This challenge will never change and as we accept this award, the need to work in a collective, collaborative and caring manner seems more important than ever before.
