Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture developed by Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company, is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s national economic transformation, Vision 2030. Sadara is developing downstream value chains and shifting industry focus from commodities to specialty chemicals and plastics to meet the needs of a growing middle class at home and abroad. Sadara’s 6-sq-km complex is the world’s largest ever built in a single phase, with 26 integrated, world-scale manufacturing plants, 14 of them new to the Kingdom. The complex produces over 3 million metric tons of value-added plastics and differentiated chemical products annually.
