<p>Paula Bellamy is the Managing Director of Ocean Wide Logistics DMCC, she is British, aged 49, married, a mum to 2 daughters and 2 step sons and has been in the Middle East since 2011. During her time she has started two International freight forwarding companies from zero and both are successful organizations.</p> <p>Paula’s logistics story began in the UK in 1988 at the port of Felixstowe Suffolk, she worked in various companies and departments, namely import &amp; export operations, accounting, warehousing also HM Customs &amp; Excise before she had her first real managerial role as General Manager in 2001, this role lasted 10 years running a warehousing and International freight forwarding arm for a USA based company, it was to give the grounding work for her leadership skills to develop and then in 2011 she made the leap to the United Arab Emirates with her family to write the story we see today.</p> <p>Paula’s passion for people is her main driver, from staff to clients to service providers, Paula is a clear communicator and likes to treat people in the same manner she likes to be treated herself. International relationships have been a challenge whilst working in the Middle East, however this experience has taught her many lessons and those same lessons have helped her to run 2 successful businesses.</p> <p>Paula accepts the award on behalf of her fantastic team an OL Dubai, without whom she says, she would not be where she is today.</p>
